On Tuesday morning the Sixers came to agreement on a two year, $18 million dollar deal with Gerald Henderson, which is another Veteran Guard the team has added to the roster who can contribute on both ends of the court.  While Henderson, Sergio Rodriguez, and Jerryd Bayless are not big time names, all three can shoot, pass and play defense which are skills that compliment young talent such as Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid.

Alex Kennedy of BasketballInsiders.com joined Mike Gill on Tuesday and explained that the 76ers are trying to spend money to improve the roster:

“They were offering ridiculous contracts to some veteran guards and they were shorter term contracts, they went after Jamal Crawford and made a monster offer it was a one-year deal that was a lot of money....they went after Courtney Lee, they offered two-year deal that was a huge sum of money as well.  They are trying to spend money....it’s tough to go to a situation like that when you know you’re not going to be a playoff team most likely and your basically being a veteran mentor....I think they’ve made the right moves here; I think Jerryd Bayless is a good Point Guard who is going to help their big men and some of the players around him Gerald Henderson."
