NEW YORK Andreas Lilja came off the ice smiling after morning skate.

Although he wouldn’t confirm Peter Laviolette’s roster decision, it sure looks like the 37-year-old defenseman will play his first game of the season tonight against the Rangers.

“I think it’s almost 10 months now since I’ve played an NHL game,” said Lilja, who was waived on Jan. 16 and stowed away with the Phantoms until Jan. 25. “If I get in, it will be really exciting.”
