As we enter the week seven of the high school football season, we continue to see who are the haves and have not’s.

Right now the Atlantic City Vikings would be labeled as have not’s and the Millville Thunder-Bolts are somewhere in the middle – but they can take a step in changing that tonight when they meet at the Dr. Jake Eisenstein Complex.

Millville is currently the eighth seed in the group V field, Atlantic City would need to win this game and next week’s game against Absegami to have any shot to make the field.  The Thunder-Bolts look to rebound after last week’s loss to Bridgeton, they depend the fourth best defense in the CAL, giving up just 15 points per game.

It’s been a disappointing year for the Vikings, who had high expectations this season, quarterback Jamir Prevard has been in-and-out of the lineup all year.  When he plays, he is one of the best in South Jersey, but that hasn’t been the case much recently, for a variety of reasons.

The Vikings dropped a heart breaking 29-24 decision to ocean City last week, Millville is coming off a 18-0 loss to Bridgeton.

It’s a battle between the two American Conference, Group V teams, but should be a very entertaining game with playoff implications.

For Atlantic City, Jamir Prevard is one of the top quarterbacks in the Cape-Atlantic League, but has missed time in multiple games due to “coaching decisions”. Millville running back Clayton Scott has five touchdowns.

The Countdown to Kickoff with Cole Raring and Pete Giordano begins at 6pm, Tom Williams and Bud Rinck have the call at 7pm from the Dr. Jake Eisenstein Complex, with the post-game show til 10pm with scores and reaction from all over South Jersey.
