The sport of hockey has taken Dalton Bew in many directions during his adolescence.

The 18-year-old Somers Point native spent more than half of his high school senior year in New Hampshire while playing in the Atlantic Junior Hockey League. During the early stages of his stay at Mainland Regional, he would travel more than an hour to Farmingdale, participating in practices and games with the Junior Titans of the Metropolitan Junior Hockey League.

Now Bew is the newest member of the Wichita Falls Wildcats. The recent Mainland graduate hopes to continue carving out a name for himself as a member of the North American Hockey League squad.

Wichita Falls, a city of about 104,000 residents, is located in northern Texas. The city is best known as home of Sheppard Air Force Base, the largest Air Force training facility in America.

Bew will quickly become familiar with his new stomping grounds, as he prepares for his first season as a Wildcat. NAHL play resumes in September.
