Philadelphia Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins is headed to Hawaii.

The Eagles safety broke the news tonight on his Twitter page that he'll be participating in the Pro Bowl as an alternate. Jenkins was originally selected for this honor in December when the rosters were announced.

This is the first time in his career that he'll be participating in a Pro Bowl.

Jenkins, 28, was a crucial part to the Eagles defense this season finishing the season with 89 tackles and two interceptions. One of his interceptions was returned for a touchdown in a game against the New England Patriots.

Jenkins played in all 16 games for the Eagles this season.
