Eagles head coach Doug Pederson said he would be able to provide more of an update on injured running backs Ryan Mathews and Darren Sproles, along with tackle Halapoulivaati Vaitai and cornerback Leodis McKelvin today at his press conference.

Ryan Mathews was spotted wearing a brace on his right knee as he exited the stadium following Sunday's loss to Seattle. It was reported that Mathews has a right MCL sprain, but Pederson said he was day-to-day.

"We'll evaluate Ryan later in the week," Pederson stated about Mathews status. "Wendell has done a nice job, and I think if need be, I think Wendell would be okay taking the brunt of the load."

Mathews suffered the injury on the first play of the second quarter and was eventually ruled out after halftime after hurting his knee.

Sproles left the game just before the half with a rib injury after taking a big hit on a punt return and did not return. Wendell Smallwood replaced him at running back while Kenjon Barner took his place in the punt return game.

"He'll be okay for the game," Pederson said about Sproles. "He should be fine for the game."

Pederson said Sproles will sit out of practice tomorrow and Thursday, but should be fine for Monday night against the Packers.

If Mathews and Sproles were to miss any games, Smallwood and Barner will take on a bigger role and Philadelphia might have to add a running back this week.

Left tackle Jason Peters hurt his forearm in the first half, after receiving an X-ray he returned to the game in the second half, Allen Barbre moved to left tackle and Stefen Wisniewski came into play left guard.

McKelvin exited the game with a concussion, while Vitai left the game with a knee injury and looks like he will be week-to-week.

"Well, moving forward, it looks like we'll go back to our preseason thought: move Allen [G/T Allen Barbre] over there and give him the week of reps over at right tackle," Pederson explained today. "Then you've got Wiz [G/C Stefen Wisniewski] and Isaac [G Isaac Seumalo] at the [left] guard spot and then keep [G/T Matt] Tobin available."
