The three newest Flyers met the media today for the first time.

Although for Ray Emery it was his second time.

The Flyers held a joint press conference featuring Vinny Lecavalier, Emery and Mark Streit. Owner Ed Snider, GM Paul Holmgren and COO Peter Luukko were also present answering questions.

Lecavalier inked a 5-year $22.5 million deal after being bought out in Tampa, Emery signed a 1-year contract last week, while Streit was acquired via trade with the Islanders then signing a hefty extension with the team.

Lecavalier commented on his free agency time and said that immediately after meeting with the Flyers during that time, the organization jumped to the top of the list.

"The roster, the players, the style of play is really upbeat," Lecavalier said.

Snider who was on hand reiterated his disappointment on his team failing to qualify for the playoffs last season told reporters that he hasn't been this excited in many years and keeping the nucleus in tact only adds to the excitement.
