Michael Carter-Williams said Monday that the original timetable for return from his injury was 6-9 months.
That timetable conflicts with the two-to-four month timetable the
Sixers released at that point, notes Tom Moore of Calkins Media . The reigning Rookie of the Year has yet to play in the preseason this month, though Carter-Williams added that he’s ahead of that six-to-nine month schedule.

"I wish I was [able to scrimmage], but that’s doctors’ orders, so I have to listen to what they say and come back 100 percent," MCW said. "I’m plenty ahead of schedule, and I feel great."

Carter-Williams says that he feels great, but there is still currently no set date for his return.  The second-year guard averaged 16.7 points, 6.3 assists, and 1.9 steals per game during his Rookie of the Year season.

Clearly the Sixers are going to play it safe here, and now it's anybody's guess if Carter-Williams will be ready for Opening Night.
