With Mike Trout coming back to the Philadelphia area with the Angels this week, we thought it would be a good time to bring back an interview we did with the Millville high school star.

This is circa 2012 when Trout was able to get a taste of the major leagues that past season as a late season call up.

Trout was in Triple-A at the time of this interview playing for the Salt Lake City Bees.

"I'm just down here trying to get some at bats," Trout told Mike Gill.

Trout also talked about spending spring training with the likes of Albert Pujols, Torii Hunter and manager Mike Scioscia.

"I try to stay out of Pujols' way and not get in his face too much," said Trout.

The former Millville Thunderbolt did not stay down in Triple-A much longer, he'd later go on to become the AL Rookie of the Year and finish in second for the MVP award.

Not bad for a kid from Millville, NJ.
