Anaheim Angels CF Mike trout is tearing up the majors.

In just 42 games Mike Trout is batting a robust .341 with 16 stolen bases.

When the Angels called Trout up from Triple-A Salt Lake, they were struggling in last place at 6-14.

They are 34-30 since then and trail the World Series runner-up Texas Rangers by three games.

Trout called into “The Doug Gottlieb Show” Friday afternoon and played some rapid fire with Doug Gottlieb.

Among the things Trout said, “I texted (Bryce) Harper and told him they’re trying to get you in trouble with those questions” referencing a “clown question” a Toronto reporter asked a 19-year old, Mormon, Harper about his favorite alcoholic drink.

Mike Trout was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in the first round of the 2009 MLB Amateur Draft.

He is a native of Millville, NJ and a graduate of Millville High School.
