Now that the Flyers have gotten hold of their captain, he’s apologized for a Canada Day prank that led him to a night in jail.

The team confirmed Thursday that no charges have been filed against Claude Giroux, who repeatedly grabbed the backside of a male police officer in Ottawa Tuesday night.

“I regret my actions on Canada Day and sincerely apologize to my fans, teammates and the Philadelphia Flyers organization for my misguided attempt at humor,” Giroux said in a press release.
