Oakcrest and Cedar Creek Meet for First Time in Football

The Pirates and Falcons finally have their rivalry game.
Oakcrest (0-2) and Cedar Creek (2-0) square off for the first time Saturday afternoon in a highly anticipated Cape-Atlantic League interconference matchup. The schools’ close proximity means many Falcons and Pirates players once competed together in youth football.
Cedar Creek quarterback Damon Mitchell and Oakcrest linebacker Brandon Bell, two athletes regarded among the league’s best players, once shared the field as teammates. When kickoff arrives at 1 p.m. Saturday, they’ll go head-to-head.
Local bragging rights and a pivotal CAL victory are at stake.
