Ken Davidoff

New York Post national baseball columnist Ken Davidoff talked with Gill and Segal about the All-Star game last night in Minnesota and all the pageantry involving Derek Jeter. What will the Yankees look like without Jeter next season? Davidoff believes a player like Brett Gardner will take on more of a leadership role. Also, the Yankees will be buyers at the deadline, Cliff Lee will be at the top of their list. They could go after him.

Jay Bilas

ESPN NCAA analyst Jay Bilas on with Gill and Segal to talk Sixers draft and more importantly, Joel Embiid. Bilas said that Embiid was the best prospect in the draft and his ceiling is "Hakeem Olajuwon high." Embiid should NOT play this year, much like what happened with Nerlens Noel last season because "what's the reward you would get from playing him?" Bilas also gets into Noel and what type of impact he will have in the NBA. With it being Jimmy V week, Bilas discusses ESPN and his role in making the foundation what it is today and where it came from in 1993.

Covering the Sixers in Vegas for the summer league, Cooney updated the status on some of the injuries in Las Vegas with Nerlens Noel and KJ McDaniels. Who are some of the players that have stood out in his eyes and who are some players who have disappointed in his eyes? Cooney also believes that Joel Embiid will not play no matter what his doctor says. Brett Brown has even intimated to this. Follow Cooney on Twitter.

Phil Sheridan

ESPN blogger on the Eagles Phil Sheridan on here for a little Eagles primer. The Eagles begin their training camp in about a week or so from Philadelphia and there are indeed some story lines to follow. Nick Foles is probably the biggest storyline and what he does in camp and this season should decide his future. The team didnt do too much to improve the defense, so that will be one as well. Not many position battles on the defense to speak of, either. Sheridan, though, is fascinated by the acquisition of Darren Sproles and how Chip Kelly will use him.  Follow Sheridan on Twitter.
