Barry Melrose

ESPN hockey analyst on here to preview Flyers vs. Rangers series beginning tomorrow night. Melrose says he thinks it will got 6 or 7 games and he 'loves this series' mainly because it will be a physical, hard fought one. Melrose said he would ride the hot hand if Ray Emery comes out in Game 1 on a roll, rather than go back to Mason. Emery has been there before and in hockey you can do that. If, however, King Henrik is the best player in this series than the Rangers will come away victorious. Melrose thinks it's a good series for Philadelphia to start with.

Kenny Albert

You know him from NFL on FOX, but he also is with the Rangers Radio Network on their broadcasts in Kenny Albert. The strength of the Rangers is their goal tending and defense, Albert says and the battle between the Flyers forwards against that defense is the key matchup. Albert says that it doesn't matter who is in net for the Flyers because their goaltender is probably better than any goalie in the NHL. Albert also mentions the ironic part of the series where Martin St. Louis, Vinny Lecavalier and Brad Richards who won a cup in Tampa will reunite on the same ice in the playoffs. Dave Isaac

Our Flyers insider will be covering the series between the Rangers and the Flyers from start to finish. Isaac was at practice today and said that he's surprised Steve Mason is out tomorrow night because he didn;t see any red flags this week, nor have the Flyers been specific as to what injury Mason suffered. With that said, the absence of Mason is not damaging because of the presence of Ray Emery as your backup. Razor is no stranger to this, coming in a pinch during the playoffs. All signs point to a concussion, according to Isaac. Follow Isaac on Twitter.
