After the Eagles loss to the Bengals, Doug Pederson was asked about the source of Rookie Quarterback Carson Wentz's struggles and the Head Coach pointed to the Quarterback's mechanics.  But when Carson was asked about it, he disagreed.  Wentz has thrown an Interception in 3 straight games and has not scored at least a 100 Quarterback rating in a game since the Eagles loss to the Lions in Week 4.

ESPN NFL Reporter Sal Paolantonio joined Mike Gill on Friday and expressed his displeasure with Pederson public critiquing of the Rookie Quarterback:

“The head coach is wrong for even pointing out one small discrepancy in the play of Carson Wentz. Again praise in public, criticize in private especially with a rookie quarterback that you have left short handed on the football field. Carson Wentz in my view is not even in the top 20 reasons as to what is wrong with the Eagles. And in no way shape or form should  the head coach be criticizing or pointing out the shortcomings of Carson Wentz.”
