The Philadelphia Flyers today announced a new partnership with 97.3 ESPN South Jersey (WENJ-FM) of Town Square Media. As a part of the deal, 97.3 ESPN as well as its sister station, WPG Talk Radio 1450 (WPGG-AM) based out of Atlantic City, NJ, will now be included in the Flyers Radio Network, with 97.5 The Fanatic serving as the flagship station.

The two South Jersey stations will air The Fanatic’s Flyers game broadcasts, including pre- and post-game shows, during the 2015-16 season.

“We are thrilled to add both of these stations to the Flyers Radio Network,” says Flyers Chief Operating Officer Shawn Tilger. “We know that fans in South Jersey are extremely passionate about the team—just this past November we saw over 4,500 people come out to an open practice in Atlantic City. We are dedicated to serving the South Jersey community through this ongoing partnership.”

“We are extremely pleased to be able to partner with the Philadelphia Flyers and the passionate Flyers fan base in South Jersey,” said 97.3 ESPN Program Director Mike Gill. “With the addition of Flyers play-by-play to 97.3 ESPN and WPG Talk Radio 1450, we truly are South Jersey's Sports Leader, this is yet another significant step forward in fulfilling our commitment to offer South Jersey the finest in sports programming.”

97.3 ESPN will air the Flyers season opening broadcast on October 8, as the team takes on the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Fans can stay tuned for special contests, ticket promotions, and more ways to get involved with the team throughout the remainder of the season.
