Philadelphia Flyers Holding Annual Trial On The Isle Wednesday in Stone Harbor

It’s the off season right now for the Flyers, but that doesn’t mean business stops for the Orange and Black.

The team is holding its annual “Trial On The Isle” Wednesday July 11th in Stone Harbor, NJ featuring this years rookie prospects.

Last year the Flyers prospects competed in a mini-triathlon which featured: a bike race, paddle boarding and a mile run along the streets.

This year the event looks to spend its time entirely on the beach, rather than throughout the town of Stone Harbor.

Former Flyers rookies who have competed in the event include Claude Giroux and former Flyer James van Riemsdyk.

Flyers director of player development Ian Laperriere joined Mike Gill on the Sports Bash to discuss the event and some Flyers off-season new and notes.

9:00 - 11:00 (96TH STREET BEACH) Flyers Prospects train and physically challenged by America’s Finest US Servicemen

11:00 – 12:00 (STONE HARBOR SHOPPING DISTRICT)

1:30 – 3:15 (STONE HARBOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL)
Autograph Session with the Flyers Prospects – $10 donation for a team photo and admittance into session

3:00 – 4:00 (80TH STREET RECREATION CENTER)
Hooked on Hockey Clinic! Free, compliments of the Philadelphia Flyers!

4:00 – 5:30 (80TH STREET BALL FIELD)
Flyers Prospects vs. Stone Harbor Stars Charity Softball Game Lou Nolan, Steve Coates, emcees Free! Donations gladly accepted. Raffles and Auctions!

5:30 – 7:30 (STONE HARBOR YACHT CLUB)
Barbecue Dinner with the Flyers Prospects at Yacht Club followed by screening of “Broad Street Bullies” HBO special.

Reservations recommended! $35.00 adults, $25.00 children; limited seating – Tickets available at Stone Harbor Chamber of Commerce, Stone Harbor Yacht Club and Stone Harbor Municipal Building; $45.00 adults, $35.00 children at the door.
