The Phillies are making a change in the bullpen calling Andrew Bailey up and sending James Russell  down to Lehigh Valley in a corresponding move.

Bailey was pitching well at Lehigh, sporting a 1.80 ERA and 10 strikeouts and just two walks in five innings this season.

Bailey who has been suffering the past few years with multiple arm issues, entered camp in a competition for the closer's role. However, the former all-star, struggled this spring and was sent to Triple-A right before the season started.

He was a dominant closer for the A's from 2009-11, who has 89 career major league saves.
