According to a report from Jim Salisbury of CSNPhilly.com the Phillies “are showing serious interest” in free agent pitcher Chad Billingsley.

The 2009 all-star with the Dodgers was once one of the top young pitchers in the game and is 81-61 in his eight big league seasons.  The veteran right-hander boasts a 3.65 ERA in 1,175 1/3 career major league innings, but did not pitch at the major league level in 2014 due to an elbow injury, he is however, expected to be close to full health for the beginning of the 2015 campaign.

Billingsley last pitched in April of 2013.
