Phillies Back for 2nd Half and Lifeguard Races Highlight Weekend

The 54th annual Beschen-Callahan Memorial Lifeguard Races are Friday in North Wildwood at 6pm as we enter the second full week of lifeguard racing season and the competition heats up.  Also, the Phillies resume play after the All Star Break on Friday night at Citizens Bank Park as they begin a four-game series against the San Diego Padres.  Yes, Summertime is in full swing and the days seem to last forever as The Locker Room will cover all the action at the Beschen-Callahan Memorial Lifeguard races with interviews featuring some of the winners and get their reactions right after the races. 

As the Phillies start the second half of the season, they find themselves a half-game out of the third wildcard place behind the San Francisco Giants.  With the trade deadline approaching in two weeks, what moves will and should the Phillies make before the deadline?  Baseball is back on the field this weekend and we will cover it all this weekend in The Locker Room with Billy Schweim.

On Saturday’s show, Mike Carlin will join me in the studio as we reflect on Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game and talk about what the Phillies' biggest needs are to stay in the National League Playoff race.  In Hour Two is this weekend's edition of the Beach Patrol Report brought to you by McCann Realtors of Sea Isle City and the Ocean City Beach Patrol Lifeguard Alumni Association.  We will have the results from the 54th Beschen-Callahan Memorial Lifeguard Races plus bring you interviews with some of the winners in this year's races.  We will also talk with former Lieutenant of the Ocean City Beach Patrol John McShane as we discuss the other Lifeguard race results over the last several days.
