The Phillies bullpen has struggled as of late. As the Phillies blew a 6-2 lead on Sunday night to the Washington Nationals, one reliever was notably absent.  Edubray Ramos, who has been one of the more consistent relievers for the Phillies this season, was dealing with an injury.  That will lead to a disabled list stint for the reliever.

The Phillies announced Monday afternoon that Ramos has been placed on the 10-day disabled list with a right shoulder impingement.

To take his place on the roster, the Phillies brought reliever Hector Neris back from Triple-A Lehigh Valley.  Neris appeared in two games for the IronPigs, both scoreless and hitless.  Neris allowed one walk.

Should Neris return to form, the move could actually help the Phillies in the long-term.  Because Neris spent less than 20 days in the minor leagues, it will not count as a minor league option.  The Phillies can save that for a later season, if necessary.
