The Phillies have added a pair of fresh right-handed arms to their bullpen as they continue their series against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Jake Thompson and Yacksel Rios have been recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley, with right-hander Mark Leiter Jr. optioned back to the Iron Pigs and right-hander Luis Garcia landing on the 10-day DL with a right wrist strain.

Thompson, 24, has been up-and-down between Lehigh Valley and Philadelphia. He has ra 7.27 ERA in three games with the Phillies this season, giving up 10 hits in 8.2 innings pitched. He was acquired July 31 2015 from the Texas Rangers for Cole Hamels.

Rios, 24, has struggled over 17 innings with the Phillies, posting a 5.29 ERA, 1.71 WHIP and 18/7 K/BB ratio.

The 31-year-old Garcia has struggled during his last three appearances in relief for the Phillies. He's given up four runs over 1.1 innings, giving up seven hits during that span.

Leiter, 25, appeared in just four games for Philadelphia after being recalled May 31. He missed the first six-plus weeks of the regular season with a right forearm strain and has a 4.50 ERA and nine strikeouts in eight innings this season.
