Phillies Place Reid Brignac on DL; Activate Cody Asche

The Phillies have activated 3B Cody Asche from the 15-day disabled list.

The 23-year-old has been sidelined for nearly a month with a strained left hamstring. Asche went 5-for-6 with a home run, a double, and four RBI over a pair of rehab games with Triple-A Lehigh Valley and the Phillies decided to call him up with the injury to Reid Brignac.

The Phillies placed Brignac on the 15-day disabled list with a sprained left ankle that was suffered during Thursday's win over the Cardinals.

Brignac is hitting .258 with one home run and 10 RBI in 24 games for the Phillies.
