The team optioned catcher Donny Sands to Lehigh Valley to make room for Castellanos.

Castellanos is hitting .265 with 53 runs scored, 13 home runs, 61 RBI and a career-high seven stolen bases this season for the Phillies after signing a free-agent deal this offseason.

He should be back in right field and somewhere in the middle of the Phillies lineup.

While his overall number have not approached last seasons number where he hit .309 with 34 home runs and 100 RBI. the 30-year was one of the Phillies most productive players before getting hurt, in 26 August games, he hit .300 with five home runs and 12 RBI.

The Phillies play their final 10-games on the road, starting tonight in Chicago against the Cubs with Castellanos hitting No. 6 in the order.
