The Phillies outfield took a couple hits this spring.  First, Aaron Altherr injured his wrist diving in right field during the first week of Grapefruit League play.   Then, third baseman-turned oufielder Cody Asche saw his sore oblique become an injury that has kept him from appearing in any Grapefruit League action.   While the Phillies still have Odubel Herrera in center and Peter Bourjos for a corner position, Rule 5 pick Tyler Goeddel may not be ready to start in the Major Leagues just yet.   In response, the Phillies signed outfielder Will Venable to a minor-league deal with Spring Training invitation to serve as a left-handed outfield option.
