The Phillies placed right-handed starter Aaron Nola on the disabled list on April 25.   Nola was 2-0 with a 4.50 earned run average before succumbing to some tightness in his back.  Nola will return to the mound for the Phillies Sunday afternoon, taking on the Pittsburgh Pirates in Pittsburgh.

In Nola's absence, the Phillies turned to Nick Pivetta.  Pivetta made three starts, going 0-2 with a 5.12 earned run average.  Pivetta had his moments, but has failed to match his dominant start for Triple-A Lehigh Valley.  Pivetta rejoins the IronPigs rotation.

The Phillies turned to Adam Morgan for two days since Pivetta's last start and Nola's return.  Morgan has been optioned back to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.  Morgan did not appear in a game for the Phillies in his brief return to the Phillies bullpen.

When Nola hit the disabled list, the Phillies were an even .500 record at 9-9.  Since then, the Phillies have gone 6-16.  Nola will be a welcome addition.
