With a strong wind pushing at his back, Egg Harbor Twp. quarterback David Rice stepped up into a drenched turf pocket on Friday night and delivered a perfect pass 56-yard touchdown pass to Spencer LaSure, giving EHT a early 7-0 lead over Absegmai on Friday night - it would be the only time they would find the endzone.

In a driving rainstorm, the Silver Eagles just couldn't find the endzone again, fumbling the football, turning it over five times in route to 10-7 loss to the Braves to drop to 3-1.

EHT had many opportunities, they ended the first half on the Absegmai one-yard line, were in Braves territory on two other occasions, but fumbled and Austin Shiner blocked a punt blocked that Quentin Jennings recovered and returned for the Braves only touchdown of the game.

The Braves got a 24-yard game-winning field goal from sophomore kicker Zach Sterr with a minute and twenty-four seconds left in the game, that was set up by a punt that the Silver Eagles weren't able to get off.

EHT had their shot to tie the game and send it to overtime but their 22-yard field goal never was attempted, the snap rolled across the wet turf and time expired.
