Did you miss the Sports Bash or do you just want to listen to it again?
The Sports Bash ON DEMAND gives you the chance to go back and hear what you missed. Its the Sports Bash with Mike Gill and Todd Ranck.
Here is today’s show: Thursday June 21st, 2012.
Optimistic about Phillies
Mike Gill poses a question in this first segment: Are you optimistic about this Phillies team? Todd Ranck says yes. He echos sediments from many baseball insiders in that if they hang around the Wildcard position(s) until August, Ryan Howard and Roy Halladay will be back to full strength, and we’ll see what happens. After their first two game winning streak in a month, the Phillies look to sweep the Colorado Rockies tonight at 7:05.
Our weekly injury expert Joe DeRosa called in and gave us an update on some of baseballs injuries. He defined for us exactly what Tommy John Surgery is and how players recover and rehab from it. Also, he let us in on what to expect with the LeBron James cramp injury in tonight’s NBA Finals Game 5. Joe DeRosa is a physical therapist for Eastern Shore Physical Therapy located on 1999 New Road in Linwood.
UFC President, Dana White, called in and promoted the UFC event at The Revel Resorts in Atlantic City tomorrow night between Clay Guida vs. Gray Maynard. White said the UFC actually got its start in Atlantic City some 10 years ago. On Brock Lesnar: “We met with him a few weeks ago and the meeting couldn’t have gone any worse. It was a complete waste of my time.” On Floyd Mayweather Jr vs. Manny Pacquiao: “That fight would have happened 3 years ago in UFC.”
LeBron vs. Durant
Did some LeBron James vs. Kevin Durant talk here and actually Mike Gill continued his criticism of Thunder F Kevin Durant. He said if we are to criticize James for not showing up in the 4th quarter, we are to do the same with Kevin Durant. Todd Ranck still disagrees. Take a listen below. Game 5 of NBA Finals is tonight in Miami.
