Did you miss the Sports Bash or do you just want to listen to it again?

The Sports Bash ON DEMAND gives you the chance to go back and hear what you missed.  Its the Sports Bash with Mike Gill and Todd Ranck.

Here is today’s show: Monday July 9th, 2012.

The Break is finally here

The All-Star Break is finally here for the Phillies and it couldn’t have gotten here fast enough, especially for Charlie Manuel.  Mike and Todd both believe that Manuel sounds like a defeated man and that he has lost his team.  We played some Manuel cuts from after the game yesterday and it sounds exactly like that.  Todd Ranck says there is no shot the Phillies make the playoffs.  Also, we played some cuts from Ryan Howard’s appearance on The Herd W/ Colin Cowherd this morning.

Headline Game

As we like to do from time to time when the teams are struggling: The Headline Game!  Took a few callers and their best headlines to summarize the first half of this Phillies season.  Some funny, creative while others not so much.  I know some of you can do better than what we heard on today’s show.

Leslie Gudel LIVE from KC

Leslie Gudel, CSN Philly and CSNPhilly.com called in LIVE from Kansas City at the All-Star Break and talked some Phillies.  She had an opportunity to go 1-on-1 with Cole Hamels. What she took from the interview: “Cole is very good at shutting things out.  He doesn’t pay attention to it, he’s got his own thing going.”  Philadelphia is where he wants to stay and he understands the struggles of this team and these struggles are short-term, rather than long-term.  Could Cole Hamels get traded before July 31st and return to the Phillies when he becomes a free agent?  Leslie Gudel asked Cole Hamels that very question, hear what she had to say on it.

From four aces to a pair of jokers

We got what was probably our best headline of the day via the text board: “From Four Aces to a Pair of Jokers.”  You had such high expectations for this season (and last) and 1 of your aces has 1 win while the other is on the DL.  Joe Blanton has more CG than Roy Halladay, Cliff Lee and Cole Hamels combined.  Is this the best headline of the day?
