Had a little fun opening today’s show with a winning streak from your Philadelphia Phillies.  If you’ve ever seen the movie “Major League,” you’ll know exactly what we are talking about here.  Mike Gill and Todd Ranck also break down Game 2 of the NBA Finals Thursday night, and by god they actually gave LeBron James some credit.  It’s been a few months (years) in the making!  Game 3 of NBA Finals goes to Miami on Sunday night.

Eagles a Super Bowl favorite?

Sports Illustrated has listed the Philadelphia Eagles as an early Super Bowl favorite.  Now, you can’t win the Super Bowl in June, or July for that matter, but they do have this years “Dream Team” listed as a favorite.   Should the Eagles be a favorite?  Mike and Todd debate it here:

A little Utley here

We went over some cuts from 2B Chase Utley who is currently on the rehab trail for 20 days trying to get back to the majors.  Mike Gill jokingly says that he is certainly in mid-season form when dealing with the media.  Also, talk about the CG outing from Joe Blanton last night saying you can’t have 5 Cliff Lees, 5 Roy Halladays or 5 Cole Hamels on this team, someone has to be Joe Blanton.”  The Phillies continue their Interleague schedule this weekend in Toronto, first pitch tonight is 7:07.

Ryan Lawrence from Canada

Talked here with Ryan Lawrence, Delaware County Daily Times as the Phillies begin a three game series against the Blue Jays.  He said as long as the Phillies can stay within striking distance these next two months, they should have a fully healthy team for August and September to fight for a playoff spot.  The team has remained very even keeled and dont get too high, not too low.
