Did you miss the Sports Bash or do you just want to listen to it again?

The Sports Bash ON DEMAND gives you the chance to go back and hear what you missed.  Its the Sports Bash with Mike Gill and Todd Ranck.

Here is today’s show: Monday May 7th, 2012.

The % have changed

Mike Gill and Todd Ranck open Monday's show with their breakdown of Sixers vs. Bulls Games 3 and 4.  After 3 straight wins, Todd's percentages are now at 50/50.  Mike Gill has increased his percentages to 70/30 in favor of the Sixers.  Todd's reasoning is that even without Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah playing for the Bulls, they're still in every game until the very end.  Mike Gill agrees saying if Rose and Noah were healthy, this series would be "done."

Aaron Boone calls in from Mets/Phillies

The Phillies vs. Mets game is on ESPN Monday Night Baseball tonight and broadcaster Aaron Boone called in to talk about the newly started Phillies/Nationals rivalry.  He said although "Cole Hamels gets points for honesty, it still wasn't the wisest thing to do."  Boone went on to say that the Nationals are for real and they should be here for the long haul.

Claude Giroux gets 1 game

During the show Brendan Shanahan and the NHL came down on Flyers Claude Giroux with a 1 game suspension for his illegal hit on Dainius Zubrus.  Mike Gill doesn't understand the rulings Shanahan has been giving this postseason, calling them "very inconsistent."  Todd does NOT think Giroux deserves a game and the two minute minor penalty was enough.  Mike Gill wonders if that Shanahan gave a ruling like that just to "save face" for the criticism he's been facing throughout the playoffs.

Devils Ken Daneyko talks Giroux ban

NJ Devils broadcaster Ken Daneyko called in at 4:30 and talked about the Claude Giroux suspension.  Ken is a former player himself and said "I wouldn't have had a problem if the NHL decided not to suspend Giroux at all.  I'm an old school player and the NHL has had a tough problem with discipline all season long."  Ken Daneyko serves as a Devils analyst for MSG and MSG Plus and won three Stanley Cups as a member of the New Jersey Devils.  Follow him on Twitter.

Rick Tocchet on

CSN Philly analyst Rick Tocchet called in and echoed the sentiments of both Mike Gill and Ken Daneyko on the Claude Giroux suspension.  On the 3-1 series deficit: "Flyers are forgetting they have to play defense, just wanting to get back and play offense.  But it's not impossible to come back from 3-1, the Devils did it to us in 2000.  Rick Tocchet is a Flyers analyst for CSN Philly.  Follow him on Twitter.

'Wheels' on Cole Hamels suspension

Phillies broadcaster Chris Wheeler called in at 5:30 and wasn't surprised about a Cole Hamels 5 game suspension.  He said the Nationals are now a rival of the Phillies, the first since the Pirates or Expos.  For Wheeler, the only problem he had with Cole Hamels last night was admitting so after the game.  Chris Wheeler is entering his 36th season as a Phillies broadcaster and is the longest-tenured member of the Phillies broadcast team.
