The 2017 NBA Draft Number One Overall Pick Markelle Fultz made his debut in NBA Summer League this week and has certainly not disappointed showcasing his scoring prowess along with skills as a Weak Side Defender.  During his one year in college, Fultz showed the ability to fill up the stat sheet averaging 23.3 Points, 5.9 Assists, 5.7 Rebounds, 1.6 Steals, and 1.2 Blocks per game while shooting 41.3 Percent from Three Point Range.

Philly.com Sixers Beat Writer Keith Pompey joined The Sports Bash on Thursday and gave his perspective of what he has seen from Fultz during his first week of NBA Summer League action:

"Right now he is averaging 20 Points, he's shooting 46.1 Percent on Threes, he turns the ball over a little bit but that's one of those things where its a matter of you can make certain moves in High School and College if you're learning that you just have to have better ball security or you just can't make that move in the pros.  But overall I've been extremely impressed by Markelle Fultz....Based on his work ethic there are things he's going to correct because you hear people who talk about "I'm a work, I'm a work hard" but you know they are just talking; here's a guy who is literally working hard and I don't think that it will be a problem for him to adjust...on his his weaknesses"
