Chase Utley and Jimmy Rollins get to reunite.

According to a CBS Sports report, a trade has been agreed upon by the Phillies and Dodgers that will send Utley back to his hometown of Los Angeles.

The Phillies are also kicking in $2 million in exchange for multiple "mid-level type" prospects.

The trading of Utley comes as a surprise because yesterday Ruben Amaro told reporters and a Philadelphia radio station that Utley would "likely" remain in Philadelphia.

If a deal is completed, it would mean that Utley has agreed to waive his no-trade clause and leave the Phillies organization after 12 seasons.

Utley continues to swing a hot bat for the Phillies after coming off the disabled list reaching base safely in every game.

With the Dodgers recently placing current second baseman Howie Kendrick on the DL, Utley would immediately be inserted at that position until Kendrick is ready for a return.

Utley will finish his Phillies career with a .282 batting average, 233 home runs and over 900 RBI's.
