According to a report from the Ottawa Sun, Claude Giroux's Canada Day celebrations ended in an Ottawa jail cell.

The Flyers captain was reportedly arrested for "repeatedly grabbing the buttocks of a male police officer," in an incident that involved alcohol.

Ottawa Police would not confirm the report, citing that charges must first be laid. Police in Ottawa did, however, report seven arrests on Canada Day (July 1) with all but one arrest being for non-criminal matters.

According to the Sun, Giroux will supposedly be released Wednesday without criminal charges.
