Mark Sanchez could be staying in green.

According to a report, the Eagles are interested in signing a recently released Mark Sanchez.

On the set of NFL Insiders live in Orlando, Chris Mortensen told viewers he 'expects' the Eagles to sign Sanchez and labeled them as a 'team to look for.'

Mortensen also tweeted out these thoughts Monday morning as well.

The Cleveland Browns are also said to be in the mix with their new head coach Mike Pettine being familiar with Sanchez with his time spent as Jets defensive coordinator.

Mortensen expects the Eagles to sign Sanchez so that they will have a full house of former Pac-10 quarterbacks in Foles coming from Arizona while both Sanchez and Matt Barkley coming from USC.

In fact, Mortensen furthered his report with this.

Sanchez, 27, endured a roller coaster type career with the Jets making two consecutive AFC Championship games, multiple fourth quarter comebacks, but also throwing costly interceptions and a Thanksgiving night 'butt fumble' against the Patriots that will live in Jets infamy.

A change of scenery, however, might do him good. He'd be working under Chip Kelly, Pat Schurmur and new quarterbacks coach Bill Musgrave who has worked with Falcons QB Matt Ryan in the past.
