Chip Kelly's coaching staff is starting to take shape.

According to a Geoff Mosher CSN Philly report, San Francisco 49ers defensive backs coach Ed Donatell is on the Eagles radar.

Since the 49ers are still playing, nothing can be made official until after the Super Bowl in two weeks. Although a handshake agreement can be made.

Donatell joins University of Georgia's Todd Grantham and Alabama's Kirby Smart as three candidates Chip Kelly and the Eagles are known to be interested in.

Over the weekend the Eagles interviewed Giants linebackers coach Jim Herrmann, but he has since withdrawn his name from consideration to remain with the Giants.

Donatell is a candidate with NFL coaching experience as he previously coordinated defenses for both the Packers and Falcons from 2000-2006. Donatell also served as the Broncos secondary coach where he won back to back Super Bowls in 1998 and 1999.
