The Cleveland Browns have hired Hue Jackson as their next head coach, but could he have been on the Eagles radar?

Mike Silver from NFL.com says the Eagles did make a call to Jackson, but it was too little, too late.

He's expected to have a big say on the Browns roster, something that wasn't going to happen with Howie Roseman around in Philadelphia. Jackson, 50, is a very bright offensive mind who got the best out of Andy Dalton this season and could potentially have been a good fit for Sam Bradford.
