The Flyers are keeping two things alive during this recent points streak: their playoff hopes and being a 'buyer' at Wednesday's trade deadline.

According to a Philadelphia Inquirer report, the Flyers are in 'exploratory' trade talks with three teams. The Dallas Stars for Jaromir Jagr, the San Jose Sharks for Ryan Clowe and the Calgary Flames for Jay Bouwmeester.

Jagr, who signed after with the Stars after failing to agree on a contract with the Flyers is having another solid season and the recent struggles of Claude Giroux and Scott Hartnell could be attributed to his absence on the top line.

Ryan Clowe is a veteran from the Sharks and has no goals in 28 games this season and is an unrestricted free agent after this season.

Jay Bouwmeester is a fast, puck moving defense man for the Flames and has been on the trade block since the start of the season when it was rumored the Detroit Red Wings were interested

Frank Seravalli added more in that two key members of the Sharks scouting department John Ferguson and Jason Rowe were on hand Sunday night, Rowe being in attendance all week at each Flyers home game.

These reports come after GM Paul Holmgren announced that Max Talbot is out for the season with a broken leg.

The NHL trade deadline is Wednesday at 3 p.m. est.
