With the NHL trade deadline fast approaching, the Flyers are both fielding and taking calls.

Earlier today, we told you that the Flyers have reportedly made a substantial offer for Ryan Kesler.

Now comes a report that the Flyers are talking with the Winnipeg Jets about winger Evander Kane.

It was reported back in December that the two clubs were talking an exchange for Kane, but talks broke off after the new year.

It was believed that the Jets were asking for two proven NHL level forwards along with draft pieces. Brayden Schenn and Matt Read could fit the bill in exchange for Kane who'd be a perfect fit in a Flyers sweater.

Kane, 22, has struggled with injuries this season for a Jets team who has all but fallen out of a crowded Western Conference playoff race.

Kane is in the second year of a $31.5 million contract which does not include any no trade or movement clauses.
