Another Phillies star could be on the move.

According to a FOX Sports report, the San Francisco Giants and the Phillies are talking about a potential Chase Utley trade.

Jon Morosi, citing sources, adds that the two teams are onto the stage of discussing different prospects which means things are advancing.

Utley cleared waivers on Tuesday of this week and is now free to be traded to any team he wishes, provided he waives his no-trade rights.

According to other reports, Utley would be expected to agree to a trade to the Giants as he makes an off season home in the Bay Area and he would immediately be inserted in the middle of a pennant race.

The Giants interest in Utley picked up when their current 2B Joe Panik hit the disabled list with a recurrent back issue. When Panik returns, Utley could be switched to a first base role, or platoon situation with Brandon Belt.

Utley has been on a showcase since returning from the disabled list, batting .418 in 18 plate appearances leading off in most instances.

Utley has also received interest from the Cubs, Angels and Yankees.
