It looks like the Philadelphia Eagles are moving on from Brian Johnson after just one season as the team’s offensive coordinator, per veteran Eagles reporter Derrick Gunn.

As Gunn reports on social media, '"all indications are Johnson will not be returning as Eagles OC".

The 2023 season was as up and down as one can get for Johnson's offense. Though the Eagles numbers were similar to last years offense, the majority came in the first half of the season.

Despite making the playoffs, the team looked out of synch on the offensive side of the ball, having many issues as the season went on, especially over the final six weeks.  The team was criticized when facing the blitz, and finding ways to protect against the blitz.

Johnson has been a head coaching candidate with three teams, though one, Carolina decided not to interview him.

This was his first time being a NFL offensive coordinator after stints in college with Florida, Houston and Utah.
