Sixers point guard Michael Carter-Williams went through non-contact portions of Tuesday's practice, but it appears the reigning NBA Rookie of the Year will not be ready for opening night.

According to an ESPN.com report, the two sides have set a target date of Nov. 13 for his return, a source close to the situation told Jeff Goodman ESPN.com.

It has been an interesting offseason for Carter-Williams, who's according to Zach Lowe of Grantland, the 76ers "tried hard" to trade Carter Williams during the offseason.

Carter-Williams averaged 16.7 points, 6.3 assists and 6.2 rebounds for the 76ers team that finished with the second-worst record in the NBA.
