Ryan Mathews averaged over five yards per carry last year and might have been the best back on the team.

He finished with 539 yards on 107 carries and six touchdowns to go along with 20 catches for 146 yards. However, he missed three games and 13 over the last two seasons due to various injuries.

While he might have been the Eagles best back in 2015, it doesn't seem the Birds are all the interested in bringing him back, even with his manageable salary.

Mathews is entering the second year of a three-year, $11 million contract signed last off season. He is owed a manageable $3 million in 2016

A first-round pick out of Fresno State in 2010, Mathews has spent his entire career with the Chargers before leaving to join the Eagles last year. In five seasons, he has played in a full 16 game season just once.
