The Philadelphia 76ers continue to look ahead.

According to a report, the team has agreed to an extension with head coach Brett Brown.

The deal is believed to be for two years, per Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

The extension comes just days after both Brown and new chairman of basketball operations, Jerry Colangelo, admitted that the two sides were discussing an extension.

Brown, who has a Sixers record of 38-149 entering Friday night's game against the Pistons has been the team's head coach for three seasons of a rebuilding franchise. He has also serves as the team's spokesperson from time to time while general manger Sam Hinkie has been curiously absent.

The team has announced a 5 p.m. press conference on Friday evening.
