With the NBA trade deadline on Thursday, the Sixers are looking around the league to find some depth before they make their final playoff push.  Sixers coach Brett Brown acknowledged today before his team hosts the Toronto Raptors, that his team needs more veterans to make a deep playoff run.

Well help could be on the way, according to Mitch Lawrence of the Sporting News:

League sources say the Sixers have already been calling the Pels, recently offering two second-round picks for Mirotic in a bid to upgrade their anemic bench. Philly is also looking at the Magic's Terrence Ross and the Knicks’ Wes Matthews, with the Rockets thinking Matthews would be perfect for them.

We have heard some whispers that the Sixers have their eye on Pelicans stretch-4 Nikola Mirotic, and according to Lawrence they have already made an offer of two second-round picks and would likely have to include Wilson Chandler in a deal to match salary.

A few other names that Lawrence lists are Wes Matthews and Terrence Ross. Both would provide a significant shooting upgrade and depth off-the-bench.

The NBA trade deadline is Thurs. Feb 7.
