Reports: Doug Collins to Become Sixers ‘Special Consultant’

According to Marc Stein of ESPN, Doug Collins and the Sixers have negotiated a new relationship with the Sixers becoming the team's "special consultant."

However, shortly after his tweet, Stein clarifies the situation claiming Langel released it's 'inaccurate.'

Stein quotes the agent for Collins, John Langel.

Collins has 1-year remaining on his contract and Yahoo! Sports reported this week that Collins had informed ownership that he preferred not to return to the team next season.

The Sixers end their season Wednesday night in Indiana.
