The NBA released the first round of fan voting results and Joel Embiid is currently fourth place among Eastern Conference Front Court Players with 221,984 votes, only 28,363 votes behind Kevin Love.  Aside from his growth as a star player on the court, Embiid's popularity in the NBA community is growing with 495,000 followers on Twitter and 461,000 followers on Instagram, the Rookie Center's star is growing every day.

ESPN NBA Broadcaster Ryan Ruocco joined Mike Gill on Friday to discuss the future for Joel Embiid and the Sixers:

"An Important aspect of him is he clearly is a personality star as well...(Embiid is) a really funny guy and I think for the Sixers organization and Sixers' fan base that has obviously gone through a lot over the last few years, it's a nice reward....You still have to see about a lot of your other pieces, how are you going to make the front court fit? What is (Jahlil) Okafor going to be? How about Ben Simmons when he finally gets back healthy? Dario Saric, what can he be for you?  But this guy, without a doubt, is going to be a star Franchise player; I do not have any sliver of doubt about him being that kind of (player) for the next ten, fifteen years."
