Rutgers redshirt junior RB Paul James exited Saturday's game against Navy in the second frame with an apparent knee injury.  The injury occurred when James took a helmet to his right knee on a 13-yard run.

Today it was announced by Rutgers coach Kyle Flood that James will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL.

James was having a great start to the season for the Scarlet Knights, after missing four games last year with a broken fibula.  Even missing four games, James led Rutgers with 881 yards a year ago and was well on his way to breaking the 1,000-plus barrier this season.

James has 363 rushing yards and five touchdowns this season and had 96 yards on seven carries at Navy before the injury.

Justin Goodwin filled in for James following the injury at Navy and had 26 carries for 106 yards and a touchdown.
