Philadelphia Phillies 1B Ryan Howard hit his 300th career Home Run in the bottom of the 4th inning Saturday afternoon.

It was a solo home-run off Atlanta Braves starting pitcher, Mike Minor.

Howard becomes just the second Phillies player to reach 300 career home runs, sharing that honor with 3B Mike Schmidt's 548 home runs.

It was his fourth home run in as many days, off the brick wall in center field and in to the bushes.

Phillies personnel were seen digging through the bushes to retrieve the ball and give to Howard.

Howard also becomes the second fastest player  in MLB to reach the milestone, with 1,093 games played. Pirates Hall of Fame OF Ralph Kiner did it in 1,087 games.

Meanwhile, Chase Utley currently sits at 199 career home runs.

Howard missed closed to 90 games this season recovering from a ruptured Achilles injury suffered in the playoffs last season, Utley has missed close to 80 games with chronically injured knees.

The Phillies lost the game 8-2 and have fallen 4 games behind the Cardinals for the second Wild-Card position, with just 10 games remaining.
