The Eagles will again be without running back Ryan Mathews, whose concussion will keep him out of Sunday's game against the Patriots. He hasn't played since being concussed in Week 10.

"We have less depth there and I think when we have been successful, we have two big, physical backs in there and we are missing a key cog in that right now," Eagles

Even though their offense has struggled in Mathews absence the last two games coupled with the challenge that awaits the Eagles in New England, defensive issues might be the bigger concern at the moment.  The Eagles defense has allowed ten passing touchdowns over the last two weeks. Jameis Winston and Matt Stafford have combined to complete 46 of 67 passes for 583 yards with 10 touchdowns and zero interceptions, which Philadelphia lost by a combined score of 90-31.

Kenjon Barner, who was promoted from the practice squad two weeks ago, will see an increased role behind starter DeMarco Murray and Darren Sproles.

"I thought Kenjon [RB Kenjon Barner], when he got in for kind of his first playing time against Detroit, did a nice job," Eagles coach Chip Kelly explained. "So we’ll see if we can build upon that in terms of what he's doing and then we have Sprolesy [RB Darren Sproles]. [Mathews] has played really well for us this year and we hope at some point in time we can get him back, but again, it's in the medical hands, as it should be."

Peters, Thornton Questionable

A pair of Eagles were listed as questionable for the game, Jason Peters and Cedric Thornton. Thornton was limited at practice on Friday and if he can't go Taylor Hart and Brandon Bair could see more time.
